bRIEF HISTORY
Cagayan was an ancient
riverine settlement whose name was derived from the word -KARAYAN.
It gained it's present name when it became a charted city on
June 15 1950.
Geography
Cagayan de Oro is
located along Macabalan Bay in Central Cost of Northern Mindano.
Climate
Cagayan de Oro has a
relatively dry season from November to April. Wet season is from May to
October. Heaviest rainfall is from June to October.

Cebuano/Visayan,
Tagalog, Hiligaynon, Maranao, Waray, Higaonon, Ilocano, Spanish and
English.
